Who is that man?
Good morning, Heavenly Father. We are so thankful to be able to get up and fight another day. Lord, I know that you see that this world has gone crazy. But if just get in your word and learn what you have to teach us this would come as no surprise to anyone. You said all this would come to pass and yet there are people that still don't believe in you. Help us to read your word and then put it into practice. Amen. So, who is Jesus? Is is just a man? Is he the son of God? Was he just a great prophet? If we open the Bible, it tells us exactly who he is. The answer to the three questions is yes. He was all three. He was a man that came into this world just like every other human being. Something about that birth, he was born of a virgin. The Bible tells us that we are born into sin. We all got here the same way. But the one that didn't was Jesus. He came from a mother but a man did not get her pregnant. So, Jesus was not conceived in the normal way, so the sin of the man did not play into it. You see, his making was literally without sin. Did you ever stop and think of it that way. That one birth changed everything for everyone. No matter who you are or what you've done, that birth was for you. We also know that Joseph wasn't going to marry Mary because of sin. He thought that she had done something wrong. But it wasn't until an angel sent by God got a hold of that man. He wasn't going to publicly shame her but none the less he wasn't going to marry her. Have we ever done something or you know someone that has done something and you want to publicly shame them? Put yourself in Mary's shoes. Being pregnant in her day without a husband was punishable by stoning to death. Do you want someone to publicly stone you so why are we publicly stoning others? But back to that birth. That birth changed the entire world, does that birth change you? Let us all get on our knees and let that one birth change who we are and how we react. Go on and read about his birth in the Gospels. Matthew is a great book. Have beautifully blessed day!
