Who am I?
Good morning brothers and sisters. Who am I? That is the question. I think too many times I worry about what others think of me. Or I worry about my place in this world. Am I enough? I want to give the answer that John gave in John 1:23- "He said: 'I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord.'" I am that voice. But I am so much more and so are you. Here are some scriptures if you are struggling on who you are. Please do not believe the lies of the world, BELIEVE who the Lord says you are and can be. First, I am His child. John 1:12-13- 12-But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, 13- who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. I am His child because He says so. I am His workmanship. I am valuable. Ephesians 2:10- For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. He knew His plans for me before I was even born. I am made in His image. Genesis 1:26-27. 26- Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 27- So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female, He created them. I am redeemed. 1 Peter 1:18-19. 18-knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from you aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19- BUT with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He bought me with His life. I am His ambassador. 2Corinthians 5:20- Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. I am a new person. 2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. That is who I am. And there is so much more. I don't live by the world's standards, nor do I want to. I belong to Jesus Christ and I live by His standards. If that makes me weird then so be it. If that means the world rejects me then so be it. I need not worry what the world thinks of me, I KNOW who I am in Christ. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
