Where to go from here?
Good morning all. What a crazy time we are living in. I have seen on social media many times Scripture of how we should humble ourselves and pray. Guess what, we should have been doing that all along. And I am just as guilty as the next for taking God for granted and not doing what he has commanded me. Most are sitting in their homes and hopefully only going out for things they need. But I work in retail/grocery and what I have seen is not humbling ourselves and praying. Where are all the Christians? Prayers should be going up by the millions but all I see is people being rude, greedy and nothing like Christ. They are so rare that it literally is a miracle to see that one person. So this morning I opened my Bible and little did I know that God would send me to Jeremiah 7. So I will type out everything he gave me and then I hope it encourages just one to go on and open that old Bible that we don't have time for anymore and see just why this old world is getting crazier and crazier by the minute. 4- Say to them, This is what the Lord says: "When people fall down, do they not get up? When someone turns away, do they not return? Why then have these people turned away? They cling to deceit; they refuse to return. I have listened attentively, but they do not say what is right. None of them repent of their wickedness, saying 'What have I done?' Each pursue their own course like a horse charging into battle. Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift, and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord." I am going to stop right there. There was two things that the Lord said that really got my attention. None of them repent of their wickedness. Have you asked God not just for forgiveness but to open your eyes, your heart and your soul to your wicked ways? And the last thing is But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord. What are the requirements? I think so many of us has gotten God's requirements wrong. So in this time of staying at home, open the Bible and see what God requires of you. Go ahead I dare you. Maybe we can come out of this stronger and closer to the Lord. Have a blessed day!
