When you have too many!
Good morning brothers and sisters. Wow is all I can say. I was studying this morning and my whole prayer and study went no where I was looking. But it sure went where God was looking. And I have been in prayer over something strange that happened yesterday, God knew exactly where I needed to go. Isn't God so amazing? Now let me show you. Judges 7:1-2. Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him rose early and encamped beside the well of Harod, so that the camp of the Midianites was on the north side of them by the hill of Moreh in the valley. And the Lord said to Gideon, "The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying 'My own hand has saved me.'" Now would you look at that, the Lord said you have too many people for this battle. I need to cut it down. And it got me thinking, do too many people know what you are going through? Maybe. Today I learned God plus me equals the majority. He needs to cut down the amount of people. Because sometimes when we have too many people, we tend to get full of pride. We forget that it was actually God who did it. God cut Gideon's army down to 300 men that day to fight a battle against Midianites. God gave them the plan, they followed God's plan and victory was God's. God could only do the miracle when He cut the amount down to a few faithful. You see that. Maybe who you have is not faithful to God and is keeping you from obtaining victory. It is by His might and His power that victory is ours. Rise up child of God, rise up!
