What we are to do

Good morning brothers and sisters. Yesterday we looked that all of God's word is for us. It will equip us with whatever comes our way. It is our foundation. It is our way of life. It is the truth. But what do we do with it when we have it. Well lets look at 2 Timothy 4 and we will see where the Lord will take us. 1- I charge YOU therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who WILL judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom. Here it is what we are to do. He is giving it to us. And he is using God and Jesus as his witnesses that this is what we are to do. 2- Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. We are to share God's word. Now I do want to take notice it doesn't just some of the God's word. Preach the Word! We are to be ready to show Jesus all the time. Now that doesn't mean that you will pastor a church. Preaching the word is sometimes doing what we learned in kindergarten, open our 2 ears and shut our 1 mouth. Preaching the word is sometimes taking a meal to someone who can't afford one or who is sick. Preaching the word is helping your neighbor finish a project that desperately needs to be done. Preaching the word could be just a smile. Preaching the word sometimes can be a gentle hello. See we don't know what the world needs but Jesus does. We really are living in time where there is a lot of confusion and chaos. Maybe just maybe, because you live for Jesus and you have His attitude, you can bring peace and joy to an otherwise confused and chaotic person's life. So humble yourself before Him and seek Him and do His will. What a better place this world would be. You could be the Jesus that someone needs TODAY! Repent, refresh and revive! Rise up child of God, rise up!
