What we are to do

Good morning brothers and sisters. As I continued in Ecclesiastes, I saw what God requires of us. It is quite simple but it is hard for humans to do. Ecclesiastes 12:9-14. 9- And moreover because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge, yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs. 10- The Preacher sought to find acceptable words and what was written was upright- words of truth. Godly pastors who actually teach the whole truth of God and way of life in Jesus is what we need. Not to be afraid to say what God tells them to say. We have His word. Also Jesus was the greatest Preacher there ever was. 11- The words of the wise are like goads and the words of scholars are like well-driven nails, GIVEN by ONE SHEPHERD. The teachings come from Jesus Christ. He also gave us the Holy Spirit to lead us and to help us. 12- And further, my son, be admonished by these, of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh. Study takes time and energy when done properly. And there are many books out there written; some are good and some not so much. We have to use the Spirit of discernment to know. But here is the real heart of the matter. 13- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and KEEP His commandments. For this is man's all. 14- For God WILL bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. Jesus Himself says He did not come to abolish but to fulfill. See the Old Testament was meant to point to the New Testament, the way they had their laws was to point them to a perfect law, which is Jesus. He came to fulfill that law. Now don't get me wrong, we are not under the law of Moses. We don't have to do all the sacrifices. Jesus was our one and done sacrifice. But it also doesn't mean we don't have to live like God commands in the Old Testament. I know it seems very confusing. But it really is not. Jesus still teaches to love God. Jesus still teaches us to live by the commands of Him. And this does not contradict what Jesus said. We do have to study from Genesis to Revelation if we want the whole life with Christ. We still have to follow the moral laws of the Old Testament. Jesus was our sacrificial Lamb and that is no longer needed. He fulfilled what the prophets of old said about the Messiah. So let's get back to following the commandments of God. Remember Jesus said, He and My Father are one. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
