What to do?

In all that is going on in the world, one is to wonder what to do? Where to turn? Have you been with Christ your whole life or are you just starting out? Do you not know where to go? The very first step in a relationship with Christ is belief. And I say that because that is all it takes is to believe in Him. But I want to warn you there is so much more. And I will not sugar coat it. A life with true followers of Christ is a hard one. It is not easy and God never promised that it would be. So before you go much further, you need to count the cost. "For to this you were called because Christ also SUFFERED for us, leaving us an example, that YOU should FOLLOW His steps." 1 Peter 2:21. We know that we will have hard times as true followers of Christ. Jesus also tells us in Matthew, "And you will be hated by ALL for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." I really don't know where anyone gets that walking with Jesus is easy and all my problems will be gone. Because of what Christ calls us to be goes against everything in this world. But more importantly it goes against our own flesh. See, the reason why the spirit and the flesh fights so hard is, the spirit has a destination in mind and the flesh doesn't get to come so it fights. Your flesh does not care about your soul. But your spirit has the power to overcome the flesh, if you are living in Christ Jesus. Then once you believe, you need to call out to Him. Invite Him in. He is waiting to hear from you. Pray and when you pray just cry out to Him. There is no specific prayer that you must pray. He just wants to hear from you. Have you ever missed someone who has passed away? You miss hearing their voice. You miss seeing them. Well, that is how Jesus feels when we don't have that conversation with Him. Once you have invited Jesus in, then He will work on making you the best version of you that there ever could possibly be. But we have to do the work. And the work is hard and the work hurts. I remember when I truly started digging in and seeing what it meant to be a follower of Jesus, it was an eye-opener. I was one who thought they were living for Christ, I proclaimed to live for Christ, but to quite honest, I DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE. Then He worked in me and changed my whole outlook on life. Things that I had not taken care of, He helped me take care of. But I also noticed that as I got closer in my walk, Satan came a knocking even harder. I lost people that I love. Things that I use to watch, didn't. Things I use to say, didn't. Things that I use to think, didn't. No matter what is going on this world, I HAVE JOY! Things that use to worry me, don't. So today before it is too late, cry out to Him. He doesn't care about the mess. He will take your mess and turn it into a message. He will take your test and turn it into a testimony. Have faith brothers and sisters! CRY OUT TO JESUS! Have a blessed day!
