What it takes!
Good morning brothers and sisters. I learned a valuable lesson yesterday. When He ask something of us, we really should do it. I know that sometimes what He ask makes us uncomfortable. But we should do it anyways. We believe in Jesus. We believe. But do we obey?Believing is obeying. And the Holy Spirit really got a hold of me yesterday. Who is going to be Jesus to the least of these? Who is going to show the world Jesus? Is it Christians? I don't know if we have done such a good job. But the short answer is yes, it is us who is suppose to mirror what Jesus taught us. And as I am shifting, well let me rephrase that, as God is shifting my thought process, it is I who is to be Jesus to everyone around me. Now that doesn't mean that I tell everyone about Jesus. He will show me who has the soft heart and who is ready to receive. All I can do is give the opportunity to see Jesus in me and WALK THE WALK. They need to see Jesus in me first. Not who I am on Sunday in church, but who I am Monday through Saturday. Do my words line up with Jesus? Do my actions line up with Jesus? Do my thoughts line up with Jesus? And when I have to disagree with someone, am I doing it in love? And am I fully listening before I just spew out words? This morning the words of 1Peter 1:13-16 jumped right out to me. 13-Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14- as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15- but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16- because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." Those words hit different this morning after a morning of praise, a morning of pure worship of my Lord and Savior, a morning full of repentance. Rise up child of God, rise up!
