What is wisdom?

Good morning brothers and sisters. Wisdom and what does it mean? Wisdom comes from experience. Wisdom is sound judgement. Wisdom and knowledge are wonderful things to have. But where does it come from? Proverbs 1:7 tells us. 7- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The issue was I had a flat tire. Now I know how to change a tire and that was not the issue. The issue was getting the tire fixed. I was away from home and familiar places. I have roadside assistance but when I called it was going to be a long wait time. Could I have waited for them? Sure I could but I also knew that I had work and others were depending on me. I know that I can not fix the tire myself. I will be honest, I don't know how. So wisdom plays a part in this. Because I sought out the one that can fix it. See we don't always turn to the Lord to help us. Our first response is to fix it ourselves. We dig deeper and deeper into it. It is not until the problem is raging out of control that we turn to the Lord. If we had only sought His wisdom from the beginning, it would not be raging out of control. Here is the problem when we don't seek wisdom and this looks like our world today. Proverbs 1:28-29. 28- Then they will call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. 29- Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord. He will not hear and give wisdom any longer. Sound familiar? Do not be afraid to seek wisdom. Wisdom comes from the older generation that we say their ways are outdated. Wisdom is something we need. Ask the Lord above for His wisdom and He will gladly give it.
