What is in front of you?

Good morning brothers and sisters. You know we have some pretty cute sayings. What I mean is this; "If it were a snake, it would have bitten you." Or "God put eyes in the front of the head and not in the back." Those cute sayings. Well, the ones that I am using today is not missing what is right in front of you. You know life sometimes throw curve balls and you have to reach out and swing different. Other days life throws the ball so far into left field, it feels like the bad is going to get a homerun. But this morning had me focusing on what is right in front of me. Lets take a look at what Jesus said in John 9. 35- Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of God?" Now Jesus asking this question, this man didn't really know Jesus. But Jesus had just gave him his sight back but the community didn't believe him and threw him out. But Jesus went and found him. Don't believe he really didn't know Jesus read on. 36- He answered and said, "Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?" See he didn't know Jesus really. He knew this man healed him. But that was all. He didn't know what was right in front of him. 37- And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you." Jesus tells him. 38- Then he said, "Lord, I believe!" And he worshipped Him. Now Jesus just said I am that Son. And the man believed. He believed because he saw what was right in front of him. But let's go on a little further. 39- And Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind." Why would Jesus want some to see and others not. Read on. 40- Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words and said to Him, "Are we blind also?" Now we know. Jesus was saying that those who truly seek Him, will see. Those who only pretend to seek Him, will not. And this goes to show that the Pharisees knew who Jesus was but could not allow it to be because it would ruin them. 41- Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin, but now you say, we see. Therefore your sin remains. See when someone does not truly know the Lord, yes he sins, but he doesn't know it is sin. When we say we follow the Lord and say we see but continue on the same path, our sin remains because we simply don't see what is in front of us. Focus on what is right in front of you and stop looking behind. Have a blessed day. Rise up child of God, rise up!
