What I am about

Good morning brothers and sisters. Sometimes I get asked about my life in Christ, what it is about. I have not always had my answer ready, why? Because to be quite frank, I didn't know. But as I allowed the Holy Spirit to take over more and more, He has shown me what I am about. What my life is suppose to be about. And recently I found in 1 Peter how I want to live my life. Some may say it is unrealistic. Some may say it is radical. But since this is how Jesus wants to me to live my life then this is how I am going to live my life. 1 Peter 3:8-12. 8- Finally, all of you be of one mine, having compassion for one another, love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9- not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing: For He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. 11- Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. 12- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. See what a wonderful world we could live in if we could just ALL follow these few scriptures. But I do live in reality and know that is not the state of our world. But I can chose to do this. Some will hate me for just this alone. Some will love me. But this is how My heavenly Father wants me to be, I will be it. Maybe just for today. Then as I practice it, it becomes second nature and it shows the love of Jesus and then they practice it. I know it will be hard because people are people. But thank you Lord for sending the Holy Spirit to dwell inside me so this can be accomplished. Rise up child of God, rise up! Have a blessed day!
