What happens when we don't
Good morning brothers and sisters. Let's start off by saying this: in the Bible, it does say "Do Not Be Afraid" 365 times. That is God's daily reminder that He has got it. We don't worry about a lot of things. I truly do not worry about all the things that are going on in this world but I do take stand and fight the good fight. Just because we don't worry, doesn't mean we don't fight. It also does not excuse us for not knowing and not preparing God's word. Why do you think He gave it to us? So we would know. But we also have to remember, we will not know everything. Some things will be a mystery until they happen. But yesterday, I put up scripture from Jeremiah that God is calling us back and I pray we are seeing evidence of that right now. I pray that the revivals are not just smoke and mirrors. Because we have to remember our enemy, Satan, is a liar and full of deceit. I pray that this is the mighty hand of God. I pray that those seeds that fell, fell on good soil and will take root. But in Matthew, Jesus gives us a stark warning to what happens when we don't repent and come back to Him. Please, don't shoot the messenger. God has called me to be a watchman. I alert. And He also knows that I know that we all need to hear the words that we don't like. He holds me accountable for that. Matthew 11:20-24. 20- Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. Now take a moment to soak that in. These cities saw the most miraculous signs and they still chose to not repent? Make it make sense. 21- "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For IF the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22- But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23- And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24- But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you." We all know what happened in Sodom. It is no more. And it is more tolerable for them than the cities that saw the mighty works of Jesus. Now if Jesus has been amazing to you. If Jesus has shown you some miracles. Then we must repent and turn to Him. We as a country has seen the hand of God move, why will we not heed this warning! Repent, refresh, revive! Rise up children of God, rise up!
