What does it matter?
Good morning brothers and sisters. The title above seems like I gave up. I am not giving up but looking and listening. I have a serious question for you all. What does knowing about Jesus' return matter, if you don't belong to Him. We have looked at scripture that clearly states that not everyone is going to heaven. I will not scare you into a relationship with Jesus, I will simply put what He has to say and then you get to decide. I will put it here for those who are new in Christ and those like me that need this reminder. Matthew 7:21-23- "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22- Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? 23- And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" It is not that Jesus doesn't know them, they don't have a relationship with Him. They did not follow Him. During the week I put up a Bible Study, we have been studying John, this is all on Facebook because I do not care what the CEO's of any company say about MY Lord and Savior. They will not stop me from proclaiming the name of JESUS! Then on Sunday mornings at 9am we go live and do another Bible Study, we are studying The Beatitudes. I am really trying to be the hands and feet, the eyes and ears of Jesus. But what does all this matter, if I don't truly have Jesus in my heart and have a relationship. I can worry how it all is going to play out. I can fight over what I think the scripture means. OR I can go directly to the source. And that my family, is what I do. And yes I try and do what ever God tells me, I try and go where ever He tells me. Sometimes it is hard. Like trying to do the attitudes of The Beatitudes. I struggle with them. So back to what it matters. Everyone wants to know about what is going to happen. So let's take a look at something. Matthew 24:36-44- 36- But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37- But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38- For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39- and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40- Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41- Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42- Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43- But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44- Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. We have for so many decades and still to this day say "Look at this sign. Look at that sign. It is time for Jesus to return." Guys, since my salvation is secure in Jesus and Jesus alone, I do not worry about when? I say why not right now. That very last verse says and it is written in red, He will come when we do not expect it. Do I study signs and wonders? Of course, I do. But it is not my main focus, showing the world Jesus Christ is my main focus. Showing others there is a better way. Showing others that they do not have to live like that anymore. That is what I am focused on. Do I want my Lord and Savior to return, YES!!!! Can I wait? NO!!! But since today is not the day, I have to keep in the mission field that Jesus put me on and keep on working until that day. Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
