What does God' s word say?

Good morning brothers and sisters. I am sorry I have not been consistent on writing. There is no excuse for it. I can give you an excuse but that is just what it is- an excuse. And believe me when I tell you, I got in trouble. But more on that later. What I really want to talk about is baptism. I was in Wal-Mart and I heard a conversation as I was standing in line to check out. This lady was speaking to another lady. She stated that at their church, they could not do any baptisms. The other lady said why. The first lady responded, "Because we don't have a pastor right now." And that hit me like a ton of bricks. Now I don't believe that baptism is a salvational issue. But I do believe that all believers should be baptized. So it got me in God's word. I wanted to know what He had to say about it. Does it command us not to baptize if we don't have a pastor? And I searched and searched and then I searched some more. I looked up every scripture that had the words "baptized" and "baptism" in there. Nope not one scripture tells who can or can not baptize anyone else. I guess we just assumed that it was the pastor's job. But that is not supported by God's word. But I did find some words of Jesus. Matthew 28:18-20 and this is what He commands of ALL His children. 18- And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19- Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20- teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of age." Amen. So stop using excuses. Stop holding on to things that we thought were. Open God's word, study it, pray over it and the answers will come. I know I am going to get resistance on this but if you can show me scripture that says Jesus only allows someone to baptize, then I will admit that I am wrong. Not what someone thinks scripture says but what God says it says. Rise up child of God, rise up!
