What can separate you?

Good morning brothers and sisters. I am studying with you but also for me, how to truly live for Christ. I am truly seeking what Christ wants in my life and what He is calling me to do. I am truly trying to not live for the flesh and only for the spirit. So, I asked God what can separate us? He led me to this scripture and this scripture is for those who live in Christ. This is for those who have thrown away the old and have put on the new. So many take it to mean what it does not mean, because their is plenty of other scripture that disproves what we think it means. So what is this scripture, I am glad you asked. Romans 8:35-39: 35- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36- As it is written: For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37- Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38- For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39- nor height, not depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." So nothing can keep God from loving me. Nothing, not even myself. But I can reject Him and not live for Him and that my friend will keep us separated. But it doesn't stop His love. He loves us but we don't always return that love. We so try to apply scripture to the world and the world rejects Jesus. We can not apply scripture to the people of the world because they do not understand it. It takes us living a life of Christ out loud for the world to come and know Him. So just remember nothing can separate you from the love of God, are you showing Him love in return? Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
