We know Jesus

Good Morning. It is a beautiful day. One more day to be a watchman for Jesus Christ. What is a watchman? A watchman is one who stands guard and warns others of trouble. But in Matthew, Jesus is speaking in parables and explaining why He speaks in parables. He tells us even though we see, we don't understand, even though we hear, we don't listen. Don't believe me then turn to Matthew 13. As always scripture is written in all caps. AND THE DISCIPLES CAME AND SAID TO HIM, "WHY DO YOU SPEAK TO THEM IN PARABLES?" HE ANSWERED AND SAID TO THEM, "BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN BUT TO THEM IT HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN. FOR WHOEVER HAS, TO HIM MORE WILL BE GIVEN AND HE IWLL HAVE ABUNDANCE, BUT WHOEVER DOES NOT HAVE, EVEN WHAT HE HAS WILL BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM. THEREFORE I SPEAK TO THEM IN PARABLES, BECAUSE SEEING THEY DO NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY DO NOT HEAR NOR DO THEY UNDERSTAND. AN IN THEM THE PROPHECY OF ISAIAH IS FULFILLED, WHICH SAYS, "HEARING YOU WILL HEAR AND SHALL NOT UNDERSTTAND. AND SEEING YOU WILL SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE. FOR THE HEARTS OF THIS PEOPLE HAVE GROWN DULL. THEIR EARS ARE HARD OF HEARING, AND THEIR EYES THEY HAVE CLOSED. LEST THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND HEAR WITH THEIR HEARS, LEST THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTS AND TURN SO THAT I SHOULD HEAR THEM. God gives all believers, true believers of Christ the ability to see and hear, to understand and perceive His word. But as for a watchman, he takes it one step further. He discerns God's word and then sounds the trumpet. He warns the people of the impeding chaos that is coming. He warns them of the wrong and helps get on the straight path. Some may call them pastors, but that is not what the Bible says. Pastors are to be the shepherd of the flock and that is very different than a watchman. But God also warns the watchman in Ezekiel if we do not do what He has called us to do. Ezekiel 3:16-27. Man God is on fire this morning. NOW IT CAME TO PASS AT THE END OF SEVEN DAYS THAT THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO ME, SAYING, SON OF MAN, I HAVE MADE YOU A WATCHMAN FOR THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; THEREFORE HEAR A WORD FROM MY MOUTH AND GIVE THEM WARNING FROM ME. WHEN I SAY TO THE WICKED, YOU SHALL SURELY DIE, AND YOU GIVE HIM NO WARNING, NOR SPEAK TO WARN THE WICKED FROM HIS WICKED WAY, TO SAVE HIS LIFE THAT SAME WICKED MAN SHALL DIE IN HIS INQUITY, BUT HIS BLOOD I WILL REQUIRE AT YOUR HAND. YET IF YOU WARN THE EICKED, AND HE DOES NOT TURN FROM HIS WICKEDNESS, NOR FROM HIS WICKED WAY, HE SHALL DIE IN HIS INQUITY, BUT YOU HAVE DELIEVERED YOUR SOUL. Ok guys, if God has called you to be a watchman and you don't warn the peoples, He will hold you accountable just as He holds pastors accountable for their flocks. God is using people. God doesn't need us, HE WANTS US. Are we getting into the Word of God and speaking light into the darkness? Are we giving hope to the hopeless? Come on Christ Followers, we have got to better than this. Rise up be who Christ has called you to be. Don't be the lump on the ground and get trampled on. God will equip us with what we need when He calls us to move. Have a blessed day!
