Wall of Fire!

Good morning brothers and sisters. What a wonderful morning, when you open God's word and it speaks to you. I mean really speaks. It gives such feelings of being secured, being loved, being taking care of. Now in the Old Testament, God through the prophet Zechariah speaks to Jerusalem. Now we must remember this is after their captivity and Israel has been destroyed. But God gives them such a comforting word and this is for us also. Zechariah 2:5- For I, says the Lord, will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst. He is telling them to rebuild because He is their protection. Throughout the entire Bible, God's presence is referred to as fire. And God told them that He will be a wall of fire. And He will be among them once again. And how do I know that this also belongs to us? verses 10-11- Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in you midst, says the Lord. MANY nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they SHALL be My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know the Lord of hosts sent Me to you. God is our wall of fire, if we let Him. God's fire always has to do with His protection. I want to be inside that wall of fire. I want His glory walking in my midst. He is telling us to rebuild, to wake up. He is calling many nations. He wants to be our protection and I want Him to be my protector. He sent His Son to take care of OUR sin problem, now we must wake up and be what He has called us to be. Remember when you are going through something, God is your wall of fire. Rise up child of God, rise up!
