Vision!

Good morning brothers and sisters. May God of love fill you up so full that you spill over on everyone you see today. Now the title is not some prophecy. It is not my vision but Peter's. This reminded me not to look down on anyone seeking the Lord. But to be Jesus to ALL. God loves them. Jesus died for them. If it wasn't for me accepting Jesus into my life and me actively living in His words, I would be them. Lets come down from our haughty places and show the world Jesus. Not according to our standards but to Jesus' standards. Acts 10:9-16. The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." (Words written in red). But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common.: This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again. Now on the first glance, the untrained eye would assume food. But see the wonder of God's word is that He gets you to keep digging. If you go a little further in your study, you would see that Peter had traveled to Jerusalem and they had heard that the Gentiles had received the word of God. They had strong words for Peter. Peter recanted the story. He told of the Gentiles receiving of the Holy Spirit. But I want to look at Peter's response. Acts 11:17-18. "If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?" When they heard these things they became silent and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life." Who are we to decide if someone is worthy because of those life choices before Jesus Christ. We are to rise and stand firm on Jesus Christ but don't look down at someone kneeling when you are standing. Jesus saved you and helped you to stand. Now be the example, help someone else stand in the name of Jesus! Rise up child of God, rise up!
