Good morning brothers and sisters. As I am studying on this path that God has placed me on, I never know what He is doing. But I am learning with all that is within me, which by the way is Jesus, that one step forward is all that He requires of me. That one step forward is an act of faith. And with that one step forward, is one more person that can see the Jesus in me. We do have work to do. We all have a job that God has designed just for us. We may not always get to see the fruit of the labor but that as a Christ follower is just something you have to be ok with. We are His temple and His temple is holy. And if we are His temple, we are where the broken come to. So don't worry if your job seems not enough, if God gave it to you, it is enough. Let's take a look at 1 Corinthians 2:5-17. 5- Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6- I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. We are His living, breathing testimonies. 7- So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. See, that is our job, point them to Christ, and He does what needs to be done. 8- Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. Now this is not stating that working gets you into heaven. Please do not interpret it that way. He is stating that no one is more valuable than the next and every job is important. And how you do that job is what you are measured with. He will reward according to the heart not the work. Did God ask you to do something? Did you say "yes, Lord", before you ever knew what He needed? OR did you say what now? See the difference. 9- For we are God's fellow workers, you are God's field, you are God's building. 10- According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. Here is a warning. We don't get to teach what we think is right. We teach only what the foundation has taught. So be careful. 11- For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now we have the foundation on which we build- JESUS CHRIST!! NO OTHER!! 12- Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13- each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. This is speaking of judgment. What you do- matters; what you say- matters; how you treat others- matter. It all matters to Jesus Christ. 14- If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15- If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. These last two verses show that we have a job- teach Jesus Christ. And I mean truly teach Jesus Christ- everything that is required of us. But He doesn't hold us accountable if someone has all the information on Jesus and they still chose to reject Him. Our job is Jesus!!!16- Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17- If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. Those last two verses say it all. We are God's temple. God's temple is holy. If the Spirit lives inside of you and you obey, YOU ARE HOLY!!! Repent, refresh, revive. Rise up children of God, rise up!
