This day even harder

Good morning brothers and sisters. Yesterday I wrote about marriage. Marriage is to be taken seriously. It is not something you should enter into lightly. Now lets look at what God commands of children. Ephesians 6:1-4. 1- Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this right. Obeying parents is a good thing. It teaches them early that there are rules and there are consequences to said rules. It also sets the right path in following the Lord. 2- Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: 3- that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth." Learning this lesson from an early age is good. Children obeying your parents is a commandment from God. See I also want to show that Jesus didn't abolish those 10 Commandments, He took them a step further. Now I know these are not the words written in red but they do come from a disciple that He sent out. We are to follow the commandments of God. And obeying parents means that it will be well with you. Now not all instruction from parents is good. Just look at the next verse. 4- And you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. See as parents we don't get to treat our children any way we want just because we had them. We, as parents, need to remember they are on loan from God. He blessed us with them. And it says that we are to train them in the way of the Lord. I know that I have failed many times at this. Back to the basics. For me I have a different relationship with my children, they are grown with families of their own. But I do have grandchildren that need to brought up in the ways of the Lord. Have a blessed day. Love on your babies, they are little for just a short time. Rise up child of God, rise up!
