...the greatest of these is LOVE
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it? So he answered and said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all you mind and your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:25-27. Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, You shall not commit adultery. You shall not murder. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. You shall not covet and if there is any other commandment, are ALL summed up in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:8-10. Where is the love in today's world? Even in the midst of chaos we are still called to LOVE! Guys, have we ever stopped to think about all the violence in this world especially right now, where as Christ followers have we stepped in and showed them another way, myself included. We live in our own worlds and if it doesn't effect me then I don't have to worry about it. But that is complete opposite of where Jesus calls us to be. Jesus if you didn't know hung out with sinners. "And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners? When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Jesus went where no one dared to go. He called it for what it was and he had compassion and love. Where is our compassion and love? We need to do better. "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Matthew 24:42-44. Once again God called us to be the salt and light. If we don't show the love and the light and if we lose our saltiness, then where does this leave the rest of world. Open your Bible, pray for wisdom, knowledge and discernment. And go out and love your neighbors. Have a blessed day! RISE UP!
