The Greatest Lie

Good morning brothers and sisters. Are you concerned with the world we live in? Me, yes and no. Yes because I can see that if we don't turn back to God what this world would be like for my children and grandchildren. And no because Jesus is in control. People wonder how did we get here. Well, we need to go ALL the way back to the beginning when the greatest lie was ever told. Genesis 3:4-5. 4-Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5-For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Now see this was not a full lie but a partial lie. He deceived them in saying they would not die. No physically they would not die but their spiritual soul would then be jeopardy of dying. Then the big lie was that we would be like God. We will never be like God. NEVER! Then not a lie at all, they would know the difference between good and evil. Not a lie. Do you see how the deceiver works. A little lie mixed with a little truth makes it a lie. Their desires was bigger than their faith in God. And we wonder how we got here. Our desires are bigger than our faith. We chose to do our desires over what God has commanded us to do. It all starts with self. And this is why Christianity is under attack. Living a life with Jesus tells us to be the opposite of self. We are to put others before ourselves. We are to unite and not divide. We are to love and not hate. That all goes against the enemy's plan. I have been reading this book called "No reason to hide" by Erwin Lutzer. This book along with the Bible has really given me a chance to see people the way God sees them. It gives me scripture to which I can stand on. This did not just happen, this has been going on since the beginning of time. Nothing new. The only reason that it seems new, is how fast we get the news and social media. Everything is at our fingertips, we never have to wait on anything. So nothing new, just faster at seeing it. Let's lay it down and pick up the armor of God and fight the good fight. We have all we need. And we can stand on God's word and still love, still have compassion. But as the church of God, we must stand. We need to stop being afraid. God has prepared us for a time just as this. You want God to step in then we must bow down to Him. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
