Thankful
Sometimes a friend doesn't know that you needed something and they send you something they heard and it was what you needed at that right moment. We never know who or what God is going to use to answer your prayers. And further more, we sometimes miss it because we thought that it would look different. So as I was studying the Bible this morning here is the very first Scripture that I read. "I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High." Psalm 9:1-2. With what my friend sent me this morning, just reminded me that I needed to praise the Lord with my whole heart even when the way doesn't seem clear. I must also tell of all that He has done and hasn't done to protect me, to grow me, to draw me closer to Him. Then lastly I need to be glad and rejoice, especially when the way is dark. He has me there for a moment. I may have took the path myself but when I call out to Him, He guides me back to where I need to be. Then I was turning to the book that I am currently studying and this is what I turned to instead. Just God reminding me of where I was and where He has put me. "The Lord by wisdom founded the earth. By understanding He established the heavens; By His knowledge the depths ere broken up, and clouds drop down the dew. My son, let them not depart from your eyes- keep sound wisdom and discretion; so they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. Then you will walk safely in your way and your foot will not stumble." Proverbs 3:19-23. If I keep God's commandments, His knowledge in my heart I can walk and not stumble. I have to keep wisdom and discretion that only comes from God the Father. Because I can go my own way and believe me God will allow me to go my own way. But He ever so gently reminded me, "There is a way that seems right to a man; but its end is the way of death." Proverbs 16:25 I don't want for this life to be over and I did it my way. I want to do it God's way. I want His feet guiding my path. I want His hand holding mine. I want His forgiveness, mercy and grace. So today, I am saying, "The name of the Lord IS a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe." Proverbs 18:10. I am safe in the arms of Jesus. I thank You Jesus for reminding me of the way that You chose for me. I am thankful that You guided me back. Today is new day and your mercies are made new. Have a blessed day and rise up children of God.
