Some days
Good morning brothers and sisters. Can I be perfectly honest with you? Some days I feel like I do nothing for the kingdom of God. I feel like all I do or say is nothing. But I know that is just my thinking and I have to take captive of those thoughts. I felt like that yesterday. But this morning I read something just bear with me. I read Ecclesiastes 11:1-8 and it reminded me of who is in control and who I trust. Take a look. 1- Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. This verse alone tells me that even though the service that I do for the Lord may look hopeless to the world, the Lord sees and it will return. We all know what bread looks like when it is put in liquid. 2- Give a serving to seven and also to eight for you do not know what evil will be on the earth. I keep serving. 3- If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth. And if a tree falls to the south or the north in the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. 4- He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. 5- As you do not know what is the way of the wind or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, so you do not know the works of God who makes everything. See the One whom I have placed my trust, is the One whom I have placed my trust. It is He who has it all. 6- In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand. For you do not know which will prosper, either this or that or whether both alike will be good. God here tells me to just keep serving. My reward comes from Him. 7- Truly the light is sweet and it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun; 8- But if a man lives many years and rejoices in them all, yet let him remember the days of darkness for they will be many. All that is coming is vanity. See I will cling to the light but I have to remember the dark days so as not to repeat them. So if you feel like you are nothing in the Lord, just keep serving, just keep seeking. Your reward my friend is coming. It may not be a physical reward on this earth but the reward that I speak of is eternity with our Lord and Savior. And also whether anyone takes notice or not, you made the world a better place just by being obedient to the Lord. Keep serving, keep moving. God in heaven sees you! Have a blessed day!
