Satan even tries

Good morning brothers and sisters! I pray this day finds you well rested and blessed. I know that it did me. Have you wondered how Satan gets in? Have you wondered how we as humans sin? We all know the beginning but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about now when you are connected to Christ. I know we are not perfect. That is just an excuse for us to not strive to be all that Jesus commanded us to be. But how does the flesh or Satan(sometimes) get us to sin. We know that it is against God but we do it anyways. Lets look at Matthew 4:1-11. 1- Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. This was the sole purpose of this trip to the wilderness, to be tempted by Satan himself. But it has a lesson for us. 2- And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Notice Satan did not tempt Him when He was first led into the wilderness. It was not until after the fast that Satan came. Jesus' flesh was weak. 3- Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." Now I want you to really take notice of how Satan tempts Jesus the flesh. These are the ways that we are most tempted by and Jesus Himself tells us how to handle it. Because we all know that Jesus could have done a number of other things but He chose to handle it in a fleshly way so we would have an example to live by. Lets' look. 4- But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6- and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written, 'He shall give His angels charge over you.' and 'In their hands they shall bear you up. Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'" 7- Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God." 8- Again the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9- And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me." 10- Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve." 11- Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Jesus was tempted in a flesh way with flesh things. But Jesus combated Satan with the Godly things. Did you notice that Satan knows the Word of God also. He knows it better than you and I. That is why we suit up, study the sword, which is the word of God. We meet with believers, we sharpen each others swords. We stand on the Rock and He will provide everything we need to defend ourselves from the enemy. Here is our example. Don't leave the house today unless you are suited up with the armor of God. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
