Same, same, same!
Good morning brothers and sisters. This morning two quotes came to my mind. "If you always do what you always done, you will always get what you always got." And then "Doing the same thing but expecting a different result." God hit me hard with those two sayings. And it made me look at my relationship with Him. Am I doing the same day in and day out? If I am, then why should I expect different results. I am learning how to take captive my thoughts. Let me tell you, your own thoughts are your worst enemy. Then as I opened up the Bible, I came to Hosea 10:12- Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground. For it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you. Now what does it mean to sow? To sow means to plant. We are to plant righteousness in our hearts. What does it mean to reap? To reap means to gather. We are to gather mercy in our hearts. What does mean by fallow? Fallow means could be used but is not being used at this time. So we need to use what God has given us and plant righteousness and gather mercy in our hearts. It is time to stop doing the same thing and expecting God to return favor just because we believe. Because the very next sentence says the time is NOW to seek the Lord. What does it mean to seek? Seek means to GO and SEARCH! We must lay it down and go and search! See believing is easy; following not so much. When we are living for Jesus, there are things that we as His children must do. Go and make a difference for the kingdom of God today. Don't do what you did yesterday. Pick up your swords! Rise up child of God, rise up!
