Run your race

As of yesterday, God laid some urgency on my heart and I had to get done what I needed to get done. And while we were all working to get it done, God reminded me that even with the urgency don't worry I have overcome the world. And in John 16:33 Jesus says, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." I slowed down and knew that if God called me to it, God would source me through it. And then a peace came over me and I did get it all done. But I had begun focusing on all the things that I needed to get done and took my eyes off the One who called me to do them. And when I got up this morning, God reminded me again in Hebrews 12:1-2. "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." He is calling me to stay on the path that He has chosen for me and not stop running until I have finished my part of the race. If you are a true follower of Jesus Christ, then I will be bearer of bad news, the world will hate you. But remember Jesus says, "In the end, I win." Satan's job is to cause confusion and chaos in the believer of Jesus Christ life. Do not let Satan turn you from the left or right stay on your race that only you can run. And in 2 Timothy 4:6-8, Paul reminds us of our race and our reward if we stay on our race. "For I am already being poured out as a drink offering and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." And when that Day comes, you will hear Jesus say, "His lord said to him, Well done good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." Matthew 25:21. So stay the course that Jesus Himself called you and only you to do and I will stay the course that Jesus called me to do. And when the burden gets too heavy, send me a message on here or on our Facebook page and I will help you carry that burden. We are running this race together. I don't know you personally, but I do love you because you are my friend. Have a blessed day and Rise Up in Jesus Name.
