Run but can't hide
Good morning brothers and sisters. How are you today? I was playing hide and seek with my granddaughters. I would call out their name and they would hide. Now they always go and hide behind my curtains and you can see their little feet sticking out. Or they peek out to see if I am coming to find them. But my favorite is when they put their little hands over their eyes as if I can't see them standing there. They can't see me, so I can't see them. Don't we treat Jesus just the same? We can't physically see Him, so He is not there. We are warned not to hide from Him. Well not actually hide, but ignore. We can try and hide from Jesus all day long but He knows right were we are. Hebrews 12:25-26 tells not to ignore the voice from heaven. 25- See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26- whose voice then shook the earth, but how He has promised saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Long ago they refused Jesus but they did not escape. If we refuse Jesus, we do not escape. We all will meet Him one day, whether you believe and follow or not. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. So why do we try to hide from Him? Do you think that you have gone too far? Do you think that because of what you have done, He can't love you? I promise you if you are thinking that, then Jesus is right near you. He is just waiting on you to say yes. My brothers and sisters, you have not gone too far and nothing is broken that He can't fix. Don't hide, step out and let the Lord and Savior in. Have a blessed day and rise up child of God, rise up!
