Refreshing

Good morning brothers and sisters. This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. We all say that last sentence but how many as the day progresses do it. Are you still rejoicing at the end of the day when life has thrown so many curve balls at you? Today, I am not only focusing on rejoicing in the Lord but also being refreshed by Him. What does it mean to be refreshed? Refreshed means to restore strength. And no not physical strength but spiritual. I am praying Acts 3:19 over my life today. "Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." I can only get refreshing for my soul when I am in the presence of the Lord. He will restore me. But this verse is for the whole world. If we could stand in His presence and allow Him to change us, He would also refresh us. Which means He will give us strength. Look at Jeremiah 31:25-26- 25- For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. 25- After this I awoke and looked around and my sleep was sweet to me. As Jeremiah slept, the Lord refreshed him and Jeremiah had sweet sleep. If we would ask God to forgive us before bedtime and ask Him to refresh our souls along with our bodies, He would do it. He does not want us weary. He wants us strong in Him. Lets take a look at Proverbs 3:5-8-5-Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. 6- In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. 7- Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8- It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. If we trust and obey in the Lord, we will be refreshed and restored. So today if you are weary, turn to the Lord and ask Him to refresh you. Lets come together and pray for weary souls and help them. We all get tired. But lets turn to the Lord with our weariness and let Him restore. Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
