Psalm 108
Good morning brothers and sisters. It hit me today that most of us do not want to live a Biblical life. Oh, we believe in Him, we go to church but we don't want that change. We praise Him but we don't seek Him. We ask for forgiveness but we don't humble ourselves. You see I was afraid to say the hard things but God did not give me the Spirit of Fear, He gave me courage. And now I am not afraid of saying the hard stuff. God needs you know all of Him not just the parts that you want to know. And if you think the God of the Old Testament is not the same God as today then when the really hard times hit, you will be scared, shocked and afraid. God wants you. He loves you! He wants to give you that wisdom, discernment and understanding. He wants to give you the love that He has. He wants to give you the peace that no one can understand. He wants to fight all of your battles. So why do we not give ourselves over to Him? We are too scared of what our inner circle will say about us. We are to scared of what might come out. We are to scared of what He will change. We don't want to change our belief in who we think He is. If this is you, please don't ignore Him today. Let's do verse 1 and verse12 and 13. If you read nothing else read those 3 verses.
- O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
- Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.
- I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples. And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
- For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and Your glory above all the earth;
- That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and hear me.
- God has spoken in His holiness; I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.
- Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.
- Moab is My washpot; over Edom I will cast My shoe; over Philistia I will triumph.
- Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?
- Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?
- Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.
- Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Reread verse 13. It is through God. Have a blessed day and rise up child of God, rise up!
