Prophecy

Like I said yesterday we were going to look at Malachi. We looked yesterday at what a prophecy was. Also I think we can look back on history and see the things they were doing then and the things that we are doing now. Let's compare. How much different are we than they? I think we are far worse. So let's just dig into this. A prophecy: The word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi. "I have loved you," says the Lord. "But you ask, 'How have you loved us?' "Was Esau Jacob's brother?" declares the Lord. "Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals." Edom may say, "Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins." But this is what the Lord Almighty says, "They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the Lord. You will see it with your own eyes and say, 'Great is the Lord-even beyond the borders of Israel!'Let's just compare Esau and Jacob. One is God's child and the other is not. Which are you? Jacob, to me signifies the one that follows God laws and Esau is one that does not. Do you notice that the one that does not follow God's law is the one that claims that he will rebuild? He will make it better. But did you notice God's response- I will demolish it. Are you living in a wicked land, are you constantly under God's wrath? Take a good hard look at yourself and look around you. Do you portray Jesus and his commandments or do you have evil all around? I just looked down and the title for Malachi 1:1-5 is "No more so-called worship." So hey Christians are you so-called worshiping the Lord or are you face down looking for what God wants you to do? While we are all contained, well some are contained, let us not look at it as a quarantined but look at it as a self mirror. Open your Bible. Get your hearts right and follow God. Let's show the world that Christ followers mean business and not just play acting.
