Our words
Good morning brothers and sisters. May you rise and see the Lord in all that you do and say today. Words really do matter. Actions matter but our words can cut to the very core of someone. We seem to forget that the very words that come out of our mouths are also what is in our hearts. I am very bold. I am learning to control what to say and when to say it. Sometimes I want to say something but the Holy Spirit stops me. I am learning to filter my words through Jesus and yet I still get it wrong. I have to make a conscious effort to think about my words. But the words of Jesus, they will always bring life. 1 Thessalonians 2:4 reminded me of this. But as we have been APPROVED by God to be ENTRUSTED with the gospel even so we SPEAK, not as pleasing men but God who tests our hearts. See my words needs to be from the One who knows every heart. He knows every struggle. He knows every victory. I DON'T! So my words need to be filtered through Him. Now sometimes those words that He sends may sting but they will always bring forth new life. We must be able to hear Him in order to say the words in love, in mercy and in grace. So today filter your thoughts and your words through Him. And watch Him bring forth new life. Rise up child of God, rise up!
