Our family
Good Morning all. I pray this day finds you blessed and refreshed in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today, is Sunday. This is the day that most Christians gather in a building to have corporate worship of God and hear God's word. We do this so we can be with people who are like minded. But do we only do that on Sunday? Should we not be with our family all the other days too? But who is our family? Sure, mom and dad, brother and sister, cousins, aunts and uncles. But our family is so much more. So to find out who family is we must turn to the Word of God. So let's turn to Matthew 12:46-50. While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You." But He answered and said to the one who told Him, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For WHOEVER does the WILL of My Father in heaven is My brother, and sister, and mother." We are brothers and sisters, mother and daddy if we do the will of the Father. Christians or as I like to call us, Christ Followers, if we are living in the will of the Father, WE ARE FAMILY! No where did Jesus tell me that I had to have the same blood line to have a family. So if you walk with Christ as the Lord over your life, welcome to MY family. We are one! Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
