One example

Good morning brothers and sisters. I am so blessed just to have gotten to wake up this morning. To me, that means God's not finished with me yet. I get to try one more time. I would like to give an example of how we should walk. This comes from Ephesians 5:15-21. How are we to imitators of Christ if we truly don't know how to do it. I am amazed at the progress Jesus has made in me. I am a different creation. My thoughts and my actions are different than even say a month ago. But lets look at just one example. 15- See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16- redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17- Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18- And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19- speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20- giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21- submitting to one another in the fear of God. We are to be wise not foolish. We can only be wise of the things of God, when we live for God otherwise, we sound like a baby trying to teach an engineer how to do his job. And when we are wise in Jesus Christ, we will understand His will. It tells us to redeem the time. So what does redeeming the time mean? It means to buy back what is lost. Evil is all around, we must move before evil does to get to the people that God so desperately loves. We are to encourage and uplift each other. I don't know about you but since Jesus got me to go deeper in Him, I thank Him for everything. Just the other day, I thanked Him for laundry. Why, I hate doing laundry? Because it meant that I had family to wash clothes for, it meant that I had electricity, it meant that I had money to pay electricity. And the list of blessings went on and on just over laundry. No matter how trivial you think it is, thank Him. And then it says to submit to one another. That does not mean one is above the other. It means helping all the time. Help your neighbor. Help the stranger. Do it with discernment because evil is all around but help when the Holy Spirit leads you to. And here is where people get it wrong. It says to do it in the fear of God. Now this is not a scared fear, this is a reverence for God kind of fear. Don't take it out of context. You don't follow God because you don't want to go to hell. You follow God because you love Him. See the difference. Rise up child of God, rise up!
