Old and new!

Good morning brothers and sisters. Boy, did I hear a lot of misinformation yesterday. I saw a lot of guilt. And this was all coming from Christians. I saw one who was still ashamed of their past. And they have truly given their life over to Christ. See how the enemy still tries to stick his nose where it doesn't belong. But when we give our lives over to Jesus, He tells us not to do the things that we once did. We take that old person off and put on a new person. He also tells us since we do that, we don't live in that old body anymore. Oh, we will still fight but it is the gift of self-control. We chose not to do that. And I was once again reminded of Ephesians 4:17-24. And maybe some of you need that reminder. Don't let Satan rear his ugly head in your life. Pick up that sword and that shield. Fight him. 17- This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18- having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart, 19- who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20- But you have not so learned Christ, 21- if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22- that you put off, concerning your former conduct the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23- and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24- and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. See we are not that old person anymore. But Satan has to remind you. But Jesus says you are washed in His blood. So even when it is brought to mind who you once were, tell Satan to back off. You are not that person anymore, "YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH GOD!" And you are! Rise up child of God, rise up!
