Good morning brothers and sisters. Do you always obey what God is telling you to do? I know that I don't. I want to but I don't always. And if I can be quite honest, that terrifies me. Why do I not always obey? Because sometimes I want to do it my way, other times I don't wait on Him. Then sometimes I do it half way but not the full extent that God wants me to because I am afraid. And this morning as I was reading Jeremiah this one scripture stuck out to me like a sore thumb. Jeremiah 42:6- "Whether it is pleasing or displeasing we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we send you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God." Now just a little history, this is the remnant left after captivity has taken place. They have asked Jeremiah to intercede on their behalf. But that scripture hit me hard like a brick falling from the sky. I must obey the voice of God whether I find it pleasing or displeasing. Because God takes me out of my comfort zone so that my trust is completely in Him. I am today, obeying the voice of the Lord, whether I like it or not. Have a blessed day. Rise up child of God, rise up!
