Now what?
Good morning brothers and sisters. I pray that your Christmas was full of peace and joy. I pray that you got to spend time with family and friends. But my biggest prayer is that you got to spend time with Jesus. Ok yes I know that we don't know that the 25th of December is when Jesus was born but it is a day that we as Christians chose to celebrate this wonderful birth. Ok Jesus is here, now what? Well let's tackle some things. But I want to first go back to John. John went out preaching before Jesus. He went out speaking of Jesus. He went out to prepare the people for Jesus' arrival. Not too much different than what we are suppose to be doing today- preparing the world for Jesus' arrival. But I want to look at Matthew 3:11-12. "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but He who is coming after me is mightier than I , whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12- His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Now these words of John are harsh. He first tells them what the Messiah will give them. The gift of the Holy Spirit. And He will set our souls on fire. He also tells them that the one after him, will separate His people from the world. Those that decide not to follow Him, will perish, eternally. John did not sugar-coat his message. He knew the convictions of the Father and he stood by them. Do we? I mean do we know the convictions of the Father, do we really? Are we too haughty? Do we think we know but really don't? Do we stand on the convictions of the Father and not be moved? I am talking to those of you and myself who call ourselves Christians, Christ-followers. I am not talking to those who have rejected Jesus. I am talking to YOU! How do you answer these questions? How do you stand firm in Christ Jesus? How do you show your small piece of the world Jesus? My next question- Are you prepared to meet Him? I am, we are doing a deep dive. Lets get honest with ourselves. And lets leave all the unrighteousness in 2022 and start preparing for 2023- The year of the Lord! The year Christians took a stand and said, "WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!" the year that the world sees a whole world revival. Have a blessed day. Rise up child of God, rise up!
