More on Prophecy

Good Morning, I hope anyone who is reading this is blessed today because you are. Let's just jump right into Malachi. Thank you Father for everyone who is reading this today. "A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me? " says the Lord Almighty. "It is you priests who show contempt for my name. But you ask, 'How have we shown contempt for your name?'" "By offering defiled food on my altar. "But you ask, 'How have we defiled you?' By saying that the Lord's table is contemptible. When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you? says the Lord Almighty. Malachi 1:5-8 Some may be wondering, we don't sacrifice animals on an altar anymore. But what do we sacrifice. Do we give God our first, our best, our everything? Do you sacrifice time with your family for the job to make more money? Do we sacrifice time in God's word to watch that TV show? Do we sacrifice going to church for that football game? If you sacrifice anything for time with God then you are giving him your blemished animals. So you see we do sacrifice just not in the sense of the Old Testament. He is calling out Israel just like he is calling you out today. What do you put before God? Don't say nothing. Ask God to search the deepest darkest places of your heart and mind and let him reveal to you what is more important than Him. I will say this again, this is a time for self reflection. This is a time to be honest with ourselves. This is the time for God reflection. Are you following Jesus or are you following self? Jesus says in Luke 9:23 "Then he said to them all: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." There is a whole lot of action verbs in that one statement. So how are you denying oneself, are you carrying the cross and are you following? Lord thank you for your words of wisdom. Thank you Lord for denying yourself, taking up your cross and following the Father's commands, without that we would be totally lost. Thank you for allowing willing hearts, minds, and souls to get on here and get into your word and learn what you would have them do. I praise you Father. Have a blessed day!
