Life with Christ- unedited
This is will probably be a long post but I have to write what God has laid on my heart. We have a lot of trouble in this world and as Christians we seem to be caught off guard. What we have today is an idolatry problem or as I like it to call it false god worshippers. We look to everything to fill that happiness, that satisfaction but still do not find it. We don't look at the one who can fill all those needs. Jesus said in John 6:35- "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." He is talking spiritually. And when you have the Holy Spirit living inside you then you will never go hungry and never be thirsty. For the Holy Spirit is always there. Jesus never promised that as Christians that our lives would be perfect and easy but He did say that it would be quite the opposite. In John 16:33 Jesus said this- "These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you WILL HAVE tribulation BUT be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Go on over to John 17 and read the beautiful prayer that Jesus prays over His disciples. If you live in Christ, that is you. We need to behave like a Christian. Romans 12:9-21. "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceable with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord. Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. DO NOT BE OVERCOME BY EVIL, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD." How amazing is that. We have to live in Christ if we are to call ourselves Christians. We can not spin Scripture to fit our needs. We must stand for what is right. We must call sin a sin and still be kind and gracious. There will be people that will walk away but there will be people who turn to Christ but it all starts with us living in Christ and by letting the Holy Spirit be our guide. Matthew 12:30- "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad." If we continue to stay silent and live according to what we think it means to be a Christian then the evil will grow and grow and no one will know about Jesus and the freedom that only He can bring. Spread this message for it won't be long, don't know how long, that this kind of message will even be banned. Get out of your comfort zone and step onto the crashing waves where Jesus is.
