Let the world know
Good morning brothers and sisters. We have just finished the holiday that is called Thanksgiving. But however, we should not have just finished being thankful. It is one thing to have thankfulness in your heart but do you proclaim it. 1 Chronicles 16:8 says this: Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! See we are to tell people of our thankfulness. And believe me, I have plenty to be thankful for. But over the holidays, I put out a blessing bowl and I wanted everyone to write one blessing or thankfulness thing that God has done. And when it was all said and done, only one person had something to be thankful for. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach. I knew that the people in my house that day had plenty to be thankful for. They had seen God's mighty hand move in mighty big ways. But not one person remembered. It made me really sad. Do we really forget to thank God before and after He has moved mountains, paved the path for us to walk on? Well, I can speak for those who were in my house that day, yes they forgot. But how do I remind them? How do I show them to be thankful? It starts with me. So as we go into the season that we celebrate Jesus' birth, let's take each day and thank Him just for coming and saving us. He paved the road, why don't we walk on it? Tell someone today how God has blessed you. Give thanks simply because you are reading this. You already have more than you deserve. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
