Lessons of Today
I, Kim, write today as a bondservant of Christ. I willingly accept Jesus into everything I do and say. I serve only Him. I have been pondering what this virus has taught me. The one thing that I have seen in almost everywhere is the 6-feet rule and stay at home. He (Satan) does not want us to be around each other, but we were created to be together. "And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Genesis 2:18. God knew from the beginning that we needed each other. We needed human touch. So why do we stay away? We do not go to our own families home out of fear that we will give someone the virus as I am guilty. But we have to also remember that each of us has numbered days and that is all we get. "Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You; you have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass." Job 14:5. But while no man knows when his days are passed, only God, we are to do what God has called us to do. We only get one life and what you do with that life is entirely up to you. God gives each of us purpose, whether good or evil, every human has a purpose. We also need to remember faithfully that Jesus overcame death. "Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood. He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." Hebrews 2:15-16. By no means am I telling you to go out and try and get this because God has also given us wisdom and knowledge. But what I am saying is who are we listening to man or God? He (Satan) has stopped not just going places, which is the least of our worries, but has also stopped the gathering of the Saints, the worship of Jesus Christ, the singing of hymns. He has sown fear in our hearts. Did Jesus come from heaven, to go through what man goes through, taking up his cross, nailing himself to the cross, die, rose again and ascend to heaven so we can be scared and stay at home. "Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today if you will hear His voice. Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion. In the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested me; tried me, and saw my works forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation. And said, they always go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways. So I swore in my wrath, they shall not enter my rest. Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called TODAY, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence stead fast to the end, while it is said: TODAY, IF YOU WILL HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS IN THE REBELLION." Hebrews 3:7-15. Where is Godly wisdom, where is Godly knowledge, where are the hearts on fire for Jesus? Yes we are to follow government laws and rules but not by breaking God's commandments to us. He calls us to fellowship, He calls us to get into the Word of God together. He calls us to love one another, He calls us to pray for each other. He calls us to assemble. "and let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25. Guys bottom line, we need each other, we need to see, we need to touch, we need to hear uplifting prayers with each other. We do not need to fear. We have Godly wisdom. We ask God to protect us and be ready in and out season. Let's get on with what God has called each of us to do, the calling that is laid upon our hearts, not by men, but God Himself. The harvest is ripe. There is so many out there without Christ, just look beyond your doors. There are so many that need the hope, grace, mercy and above all LOVE that we as Christ Followers have. We can not be silent anymore. Have a blessed day and RISE UP!
