Good Morning, I know that I have to get better at this. So once again please accept my apologies. Lord, we are going to learn lessons from Proverbs. So it begins like this: The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young- let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance- for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:1-7. I love the very last verse. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. He doesn't mean that we are to be afraid of the Lord like we are scared of dying. But the fear of disappointing the Lord. To me it is like having fear of your parents when you know that you have done something wrong. I fear the Lord but I am not afraid of the Lord. Also the second half of that is fools despise wisdom and instruction. That is pretty plain to see. Proverbs is a book where we can gain insight, learn wisdom and put things, simple things into practice that is pleasing to the Lord. We are also to gain wisdom so we can instruct the children, the young. It tells us that Proverbs will help us understand the parables that Jesus speaks in. So let's dig in to Proverbs and gain the knowledge and wisdom that God so freely gives. Let's get hindsight and start a revival. Revival for Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Have a blessed day. Share, like comment. The more we do this the more people get into God's word. Love to you today and go out and be like Jesus.
