Just wondering?
Good morning brothers and sisters. I was wondering if Paul's letter to Timothy are still true for us today? Man it sure seems like it. I think God's children from all around the world are starting to wake up. We need to wake up, repent, refresh and revive. But let's look at what is said in 2 Timothy, it is like he is describing the very times that we are living in. 2 Timothy 3:10-16. Lets just start and see what the Lord says. 10- But YOU have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11- persecutions, afflictions, which happen to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra- what persecutions I endured. AND out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12- YES, and ALL who DESIRE to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. Look I am no scholar but I do believe that says if you fully live for Jesus, you will be persecuted. Why? Because it is His name, they want to remove. And notice the words that I emphasized. It is our desire to follow Jesus. So buckle up, living a godly life will bring persecution. Even from those inside the church. Yes, I said it. 13- BUT evil men and imposters WILL grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. This why I truly rely on the Holy Spirit. Because man oh man, there is so many out there "preaching" God's word but they are imposters. How can the lost truly see Jesus if we don't truly show Him. No wonder the world doesn't want Him, we can't stand firm on the Rock. I will say it again; REPENT, REFRESH, REVIVE! 14- BUT you MUST continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from WHOM you have learned them, 15- and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures which ARE able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. It is the word of God that makes us wise. It is the word of God that equips us. It is the word of God that teaches us. 16- All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17- that the man of God may be COMPLETE, THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for every good work. It is the Holy Spirit that lives inside us that helps us understand the word of God. If it is confusing to you, repent, refresh and revive. God's word will endure you through it all. We were made for a time such as this. Rise up child of God, rise up!
