Jesus' way

Good morning brothers and sisters. Have you notice that Jesus always taught us in parables. What is the exact meaning of a parable? I don't know about you but it helps me to understand the meaning of the word to understand what and why He is doing it. So, a parable is a story to illustrate a moral lesson. But why did Jesus use parables? He tells us in Matthew 13:10-17. Now that we know what a parable is. Let's look at why He used them. 10- And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?" Pretty straight forward question and that is our question today. 11- He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12- For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13- Therefore I speak to them in parables because seeing they do not see and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. See unless you are living in Jesus Christ, the mystery of the Bible is nonsense to you. Unless you have the Holy Spirit teaching you and you have God's wisdom, the Bible is foolishness, just a bunch of old tales that supposedly tells you how to live. I could take a gander as to why our testimonies are so important. They are lessons that led us to Christ. And from our example, Jesus, they are meant to be told. Other humans can relate to them. And maybe it will open their ears to hear Jesus. 14- And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand. And seeing you will see and not perceive. 15- For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing and their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them. See speaking in parables was also for Jesus to fulfill prophecy. Not everyone who heard, would listen. Not everyone who saw, would believe. To understand parables, you need to have Jesus in your heart. He is our best teacher. 16- But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17- for assuredly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. When Jesus is the teacher, we can never go wrong. And when Jesus is the teacher it puts those who think they are wise to shame. Let Jesus teach you the parables. They are lifelong lessons that each of us need. And let's get on with kingdom business. Repent, refresh, revive. Revival has started! Let it start in you and in your community. Rise up children of God, rise up!
