Jesus said to do it!

Good morning brothers and sisters. Jesus gave us a command in Matthew 28:16-20. 16- Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17- When they saw Him, they worshipped Him; but some doubted. 18- And Jesus came and spoke to them, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19- Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20- teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. Now Jesus told them this when He had risen from the dead. They physically saw Him. And this is what He wanted them to do. Do we think if we live our lives for Jesus Christ that we are not to do the same thing? Nations, today, seems to be right in our own backyard. And then when you get over into Acts 14: 21-28 that is exactly what they did. 21- And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to the Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, 22- strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God." Now why did they say that? We thought that living for Jesus was just easy. Nope, it is through trials and tribulations that we learn to trust and obey the Lord's directions. 23- So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed. 24- And after they had passed through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. 25- Now when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia. 26- From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work which they had completed. 27- Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. 28- So they stayed there a long time with the disciples. And then Jesus says in Matthew 24:14- And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Now He said this before He commissioned them. They always knew what their job was and going to be. We know the same thing. But if in this day and age, you would think that the whole world has heard of Jesus. Christians are going into places we never thought of going before. But what if, just what if, we are not teaching the whole word of God. We are teaching some feel good, warm and comfy message and the whole world has not heard the whole word of God. Maybe it is time we return to the Lord and let Him teach us. Rise up child of God, rise up!
