It is Holy Week!
Good morning brothers and sisters. Yesterday was Palm Sunday. Jesus came into town riding the colt of a donkey. Not the king they were expecting. But if you remember correctly, it was prophesied that the Messiah, the Savior would do this. They laid palm leaves down for Him. The shouted and praised. But also remember not everyone knew who He was. This is also the day that Jesus went into the temple. He overturned tables. He cleansed the temple. What does Holy Week mean to you? Do you read from triumphal entry to death to the resurrection? Does it just mean that next Sunday is Easter? We get together and eat and have an Easter egg hunt. Do our babies even know what this week is about? We complain about what is going on in some school systems around the earth. But we fail to even teach them about Holy Week! Maybe we fail because we don't know. Get a Bible, find a friend, let's really discuss what Holy week is. On today we are going to look at what Jesus did the morning after He cleansed the temple. Matthew 21:18-22. 18- Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19- And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away. 20- And when the disciples saw it, they marveled saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?" 21- So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. 22- And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." It is time for us to produce some fruit, or wither away. I just love it that we still have choices. So this Holy Week, do things you have never done before! Remember what this week is about. Seek Him! Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
