I know why!

Good morning brothers and sisters. I know why we don't want to follow Christ. We don't like to disciplined. Yes, I said. We don't want to be told what to do. We don't want to held accountable. But the Lord tells us plainly that He disciplines those He loves. Revelation 3:19- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. I looked up the word rebuke and it means to express sharp disapproval because of someone's actions. I also looked up the word chasten and it means to discipline. Did you know that another word for chasten is humble? Eventually all will humble themselves before the Lord. Jesus loves you so much that He doesn't want you to stay in the situation that you are in. He loves you so much that He doesn't want all the confusion and chaos. He loves you so much that He willingly shows you how to live. He doesn't want all that is going on to happen to you. But if you trust Him, He will get you through it. If you are going through something today, ask the Lord to rebuke you and chasten you. He will do it with love, compassion, gentleness. It might hurt but on the other side, it will be beautiful. And you learn how not to go there again. Rise up child of God, rise up!
