How to find joy!

Good morning brothers and sisters. As I sit and think about this world and all that is going on, I wonder is there any happiness? Happiness is not a guarantee but joy is. See happiness is about yourself and joy is selfless. Happiness is temporary but joy last much longer. Happiness makes you feel good but joy brings meaning. There are several other differences between the two. And now can you see why God brings joy instead of happiness. Oh you can be happy but when the bad comes, happiness goes away. When you have joy and the bad comes, joy is rooted in the foundation of Jesus and doesn't go away. So I have learned from the scripture in Philippians to help me through the bad times. Philippians 4:8-9. 8-Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things. 9- The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. See when we think on the goodness of God, the bad things don't seem so bad. When we rest in the arms of the Father, there is comfort and peace. When we practice Jesus' righteousness, we find joy. Today, look for joy. Do not worry about being happy because that feeling will come and go. Today, find joy. When you find joy, there Jesus will be. Have a blessed day. Rise up child of God, rise up!
