Holy Week-Wednesday!!!!

Good morning brothers and sisters. Let's take a look at what happened in the events of the day. See, no matter what Jesus was about to face, He continued teaching. He continued on with the Father's business as He was commanded to do. And I wonder, do we continue on with the Father's business even when we are going through something. Jesus did this so we would have an example. But let's look at two major events of the day. Matthew 26:1-5. 1-Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples, 2- You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified. 3- Then the chief priests, the scribes and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, 4- and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him. 5- But they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people." Now Jesus prepared His disciples for what was about to happen. He knew the plan. But also notice, the "religious elite", the "governmental powers", they had nothing on Him so they would have to lie and make false accusations to get Him convicted. Not too much different than today. You know when you can't pray in public, you can't say words, you get arrested, you get called all kinds of hateful names. And I wonder if anyone in our close circle will do what the next scripture says was done. Matthew 26:14-16. 14- Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15- and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. 16- So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him. Now look at that. Judas did not take the priests and elders and scribes to Jesus right away. One because the Father had not ordained the time. That is the most important lesson. But two- he plotted to find the very best opportunity to betray Him. Rise up child of God, rise up! Find others that are so committed to Christ Jesus that they would never do this. We are out here. We are connecting. Remember this week! Not just Easter eggs but what this week is truly for! Remember your Savior!!!!
