Have you accepted?

Good Morning brothers and sisters. I pray this day finds you so full of the Holy Spirit that it overflows to all who are around you today! Yesterday, in our live lesson I asked a question. For those of you that do not listen and/or watch the live lesson, Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior and your Lord? Many may ask what is the difference. But until recently I was the same. Many has asked Jesus to be their Savior but not their Lord. Let's look at the definition of Savior.

Savior-one that saves from danger or destruction, one who brings salvation. Jesus did that to all humanity on the cross. He paid the price for us. He was the last sacrificial Lamb. He saved our souls from the pits of hell. And salvation is offered to every human being on the entire earth. 1 John 4:14- And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. John 4:42- Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ the Savior of the world." Now you and I both know that there is many more. And most of us ask Jesus to be our Savior, we pray and accept. But how many of us ask Jesus to be our Lord. So, let's look at the definition of Lord. Lord- someone or something having power, authority or influence; master or ruler. Now that is different. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord, then He is the ruler of your life. 2 Corinthians 4:5- For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. See in this scripture we are servants of Jesus. He is the ruler and we obey His commands. Romans 10:8-9- But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach) that if you CONFESS with your mouth the Lord Jesus (Master Jesus)and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. And one more. Philippians 2:9-11- Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and give Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. If His name is above all, why would we not allow Him to be the Lord of your life? You have a choice to make- Is Jesus the Lord of your life? Count the cost. Will you deny yourself, take up your cross, follow Jesus? Will you say yes Jesus before you even know the assignment? Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
